Semarang, May 5, 2026 – The Tax Accounting Study Program of Universitas Diponegoro successfully held the inauguration of the teaching factory CORE in AUDIT (Community of Research & Education in Audit), which was combined with a public lecture themed “A New Chapter in Auditing: Building the Future of Audit.” The event took place at the Meeting Room, Building A, Vocational School Tembalang, and ran smoothly with high enthusiasm from participants.
The inauguration of CORE in AUDIT marks a strategic step in strengthening the research culture and enhancing student competencies, particularly in the field of auditing. This initiative is also part of the development of a teaching factory that integrates academic learning with professional practice.
The event began with a ceremonial opening, followed by remarks from the President of CORE in AUDIT, Mr. Apip, S.E., M.Si. as the Head of the Study Program, and representatives of the Vocational School leadership, who expressed their support for the sustainability of this research community. A key moment of the event was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the symbolic inauguration of CORE in AUDIT.
As part of the academic session, the public lecture featured two professional speakers in the auditing field: Mr. Tjoepit Samiadji, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., CPA., Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IAPI) Coordinator for Central Java and leader of KAP KSP, and Dr. Yulianti, S.E., S.H., MBA., M.Si., CA., CPA., BKP., a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Semarang (USM), and leader of KAP TBY Semarang.
The speakers shared insights into the public accounting profession, career opportunities in Public Accounting Firms (KAP), as well as the challenges and future of the auditing profession in the modern era. The discussion session was highly interactive, reflected in the active participation of students who asked questions and engaged directly with the practitioners.
One of the CORE in AUDIT academic advisors, Mrs. Rissa Anandita, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., stated that this activity is expected to serve as a strong starting point for CORE in AUDIT as a platform for student development. “Through CORE in AUDIT, students are expected to enhance their analytical skills, critical thinking, and readiness to face the professional world,” she said.
With the success of this event, CORE in AUDIT is expected to continue growing into an active, innovative, and sustainable community that supports the improvement of academic quality and produces graduates who are competitive at both national and international levels.
