Semarang, April 30, 2026 – Diponegoro University once again takes pride in the achievements of its alumnus, Dr. (C) Saiful Bahri, S.E., M.M., a 1994 graduate of the Diploma III Accounting Program, who currently serves as the Director of Operations at Perum Peruri. His career journey stands as clear evidence that vocational education can produce strategic talents who make significant contributions to financial management and the state printing industry.
Saiful began his career at Aneka Ilmu Semarang as a marketing staff member in 1994, gradually advancing to the position of Marketing Manager over a period of nine years. In 2002, he moved to Jakarta and joined Ganeca Exact Group, where he was appointed as Marketing Director (2002–2006) and later served as CEO of PT Widya Pustaka (2006–2008). His leadership track record continued to grow until he joined Perum Peruri in 2017 as Director of Operations, overseeing the supply of rupiah currency to Bank Indonesia while addressing the challenges of transformation toward the digital payment era.
Saiful’s commitment to education is equally commendable. After completing his Diploma III in Accounting at UNDIP, he continued his undergraduate studies in Accounting at the same faculty and graduated in 2001. He then earned a Master’s degree in Business Management from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) in 2014. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral (Ph.D.) program at the IPB Business School with a focus on Strategic Management. “Learning is a lifelong process. Every level of education provides me with new perspectives to face the complexities of the professional world,” he stated.
In addition to his role at Peruri, Saiful has also been entrusted with leading several subsidiary companies, including serving as Chairman of PT Peruri Property (2018–2020) and PT Kertas Padalarang (2020–present). His leadership reflects integrity, perseverance, and strategic vision in sustaining state-owned enterprises amid global dynamics.
