Semarang, March 3, 2026 – A proud achievement has once again been accomplished by students of the Tax Accounting Study Program who successfully won 2nd Place in the Tax Essay Academic Weeks PKN STAN 2026, a national-level taxation essay competition organized by PKN STAN.
The team, consisting of M. Syauqal AR (Team Leader), Putri Anastasya, and Margareta NK, presented an essay titled: “COREVTC: Transformation of Tax Learning Media through a Web App–Based Simulator to Enhance Tax Literacy in Supporting Sustainable Economic Growth.” Through this idea, the team proposed an innovation in the form of a web application–based tax simulator platform designed as an interactive learning medium. COREVTC serves as a solution to the challenge of low tax literacy among the younger generation and the general public by providing a learning approach that is more practical, contextual, and easily accessible.
This simulator allows users to learn taxation mechanisms practically through simulations of real cases, enabling them not only to understand theoretical concepts but also to apply them directly. This innovation is expected to increase tax awareness and compliance from an early stage, which will ultimately contribute to optimizing state revenue and supporting sustainable economic growth.
The Tax Essay Academic Weeks competition itself is an annual event that brings together university students from across Indonesia to present innovative and solution-oriented ideas addressing strategic issues in national taxation. In this competition, participants are required to prepare research-based essays that are comprehensive, analytical, and relevant to the dynamics of fiscal policy.
The success of this team demonstrates the commitment of Tax Accounting students to producing academic innovations with real impact. Achieving 2nd Place is expected to motivate other students to continue creating, achieving, and contributing their best for the nation and the country.
Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!
